A Legacy of Love. A Future of Hope.
The Heart Behind the Mission

After losing their eldest son, Jace, to a heroin overdose in 2016, Julie Waters and her husband turned their heartbreak into a mission of hope.
In 2017, Julie founded the Jace Waters Foundation to honor her son's memory and help others find a path toward recovery.
Through years of advocacy, outreach, and helping individuals access recovery residences, a new vision began to take shape: a place where men could continue rebuilding their lives beyond treatment.
That vision became Stable Steps Ranch.
Rooted in Jace's legacy, Stable Steps Ranch is working to create a supportive environment where recovery, horses, meaningful work, and personal growth come together to offer men a new beginning.
Building a stronger future takes a community.
Stable Steps Ranch is rooted in the belief that lasting change happens when people come together. Through the generosity of local businesses, organizations, donors, and volunteers, we're working to create a place where men can rebuild their lives and take their next steps toward lasting recovery.
Every partnership, contribution, and act of kindness brings us one step closer to opening our doors.
